Gardner-Webb University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097: Telephone Number 404-679-4501) to award Associate, Baccalaureate, Master's and Doctoral degrees. Inquiries to the Commission should relate only to the accreditation status of the institution, and not to general admission information.

The Commission on Colleges, Gardner-Webb University's regional accrediting agency, is recognized and certified by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
